Daddy had poker tonight so it was just Mommy and Olivia. The night started out just fine and everything seemed to be normal. Olivia ate at her normal time and went to bed shortly afterwards. However, about 10:00 she started getting a little fussy and was moving all around so I could tell something wasn't right. She started grunting really bad and I could tell she was trying to go to the bathroom (bet you all didn't think you would hear about this on her site, but you have to take the bad with the good). Anyhow, she struggled and I worked with her for over an hour. She preferred for me to hold her against my chest and tuck her feet way up. Finally, she did the deed, I changed her diaper, and back to sleep we went. Then, she woke up again at about 3:00 in the morning with the same thing. However, this time she couldn't go, even though we worked with her again for quite some time. She did finally get back to sleep, however we made the assumption the formula she has been taking just isn't agreeing with her belly. I have officially stopped nursing her as of this past Saturday, and today was the last official day before mving entirely to formula. So, after talking with Kathy and my friend at work, we are going to need to try a few different things in order to make this transition a little better for her. I bought some juice that we will dilute with water, some Mylicon, and the low iron formula that we will try for a while. So, keep your fingers crossed that hopefully one of these things work!!
Sorry again that you have to hear about all this stuff too, but you have to remember, this site was first intended to be my journal of her progress. So, you may have to suffer through some of this in order to enjoy the rest! :-) To combat the gross stories, I have added some sweet pictures of Olivia!
