Nap Time

While Mommy went to Walmart today, Daddy had no trouble getting little Miss Olivia to sleep. He said she slept this way for about an hour...I think Daddy got to take a quick snooze as well. I love when she falls asleep on me, and I think Daddy was enjoying himself as well. Watching golf with Olivia asleep on his chest...it just doesn't get any better than that!

Won't be long now...

We have been putting toys out in front of Olivia lately to see how far she will reach and try to encourage her to get her little legs moving to crawl. So far she has reached quite a bit, and will even get up on her knees a little and sometime her toes. So, we know it won't be long before she is fully mobile and wanting to move all over the place. These days it has just been rolling from one place to another, so we can't wait for that day. Here are a few shots of her on the verge...

Big Girl!

Nothing much to report tonight as well. Although Olivia is sitting up so well on her own now. I still stay pretty close in the event she take a tumble, but she is doing great! It is a whole new world for her now, and she isn't just seeing everything lying on the floor! :-) Can't wait for the next big milestone!! Also in the picture is a new cute toy we bought at The Gingerbread House in Bloomington. It was Mommy's first time there, so of course she had to buy at least one thing!! He is pretty fun and makes all kinds of noises, and vibrates, and Miss Olivia really likes him!!

Michaela and Olivia

I took my camera over to Kathy's this morning to have her get some shots of all the kids. I realized after six months, I hadn't gotten any of them to put on the site. So, she took some shots today, although like usual, Olivia's eyes were closed in quite a few. So, I added some that at least had their eyes open...even though Michaela was hiding in one! So cute...Miss Michaela just loves her and vice versa. They have had so much fun together and it will be fun to watch and see how the interact when Olivia gets a little older! I'll try to have her get some more of Dalton as well to share...and see if we can get Kathy and Brian in there too! :-)

Yard work

There is really not much to report tonight other Daddy spent the entire evening out in the yard and in the garage. It really looks great! So, Olivia and I were outside watching for a while, but then came inside to play. Shane started cleaning out the garage in order to be able to move some of the "stuff" in the basement to the garage, so we can get started on it! We are planning to finish some of the tile work and build a wall around the water heater and furnace down there...did I say 'we', I meant to say Shane is going to be doing most of that labor! Mommy will more than likely just take Olivia down there to watch! :-) Regardless, we hope to get a lot done this Winter and the goal is to start looking and put the house up for sale in the Spring! Keep your fingers crossed!!

Miss Olivia

Well, here are a few more pictures of Miss Olivia at the birthday party. I took quite a few cause this was the first time she wore a cute little bib outfit. Seems strange being six months old, but believe it or not, it is true! :-) Also, she has been sitting up on her own quite a bit lately, and looks so big in most of these pictures! Cute, cute, cute!!!
Best Friends

OK~ realizing that we tend to get a little crazy sometimes, Aunt Shell, Aunt Tara and Mommy do try to get pictures of all the babies when we are together. So, although we don't always catch them at their best, we certainly don't pass up an opportunity. Obviously Kaleigh is missing from these pictures, but she was more than happy to help out in trying to get them all to sit up straight. It didn't quite work, but it makes for a funny picture anyway! Here are a few pictures of little Miss Olivia's closest friends!!
Kaleigh's Birthday Party Day!!

Today was a big day for Kaleigh...she had her Birthday Party today and boy did she have a great time! Uncle Shane and I went early...for Mommy it was a chance to help out and get any last minute details taken care of, but for Daddy it was a chance for him and Uncle Tim to get some golfing in before everyone arrived! Kaleigh had a lot of family and friends over for the party, and Uncle Tim cooked burgers on the grill. It was a gorgeous day and the kids were able to play outside for a while, not to mention eat on the picnic table. Then it was time for Kaleigh to open her gifts. I had to split up the posts for this day, cause of course I took a lot of pictures! So, these are of Kaleigh opening her gifts from Aunt Missy and Uncle Shane. In addition, there are a few of her with her cake. For the last several months, she has indicated she wanted a horse cake??? No one knows exactly where that came from, but that is what she got. And, as you can see, the silly bakery did not put any writing on it? They told Tim that they were never told what they wanted on it, although when Shell called she even had to spell Kaleigh's name for them...go figure! Anyway, it didn't make one bit of difference for Kaleigh cause there were horses and that was all that mattered. Gotta love a kid's perspective on things!!!

Sales, Sales and More Sales!

Aunt Shell and I went to the Mothers of Multiples sale at the Riverplex this morning. This is an annual event they have, and it is basically a huge garage sale for baby only items. They have everything from furniture, clothes, strollers, swings, etc! It started at 8:00 and although we went last year pretty late, we were told that these women start lining up at the door prior to 8:00, so we needed to get there early! Even before agreeing to go, I told Shell that I will get there early, but if any of these women start throwing elbows, I was going to turn right back around and go home! Well, it was a mad dash to the "goods" as soon as the door opened. So, we took our time getting in the door and let them all rush in...then we came up behind and started looking ourselves. It was a crazy sight, and some of these women are ruthless! However, after it was all said and done, Shell ended up with a really nice exersaucer, and a ton of winter clothes for Parker. And I walked away with a brand new "umbrella" stroller (I think that is what it is called), a new floor toy (in the picture) to lay under and a few really cute winter outfits for Olivia. It was fun, but I'm not so sure next year we will get there early again to throw elbows with the other Moms..these people really take this seriously!! After the sale, Olivia and I went to visit Grandma. She was in a great mood (after Mommy changed a really dirty diaper and put on a new outfit), and Grandma got to feed her again! We had a fun visit, and then went home to meet up with Daddy.

Cookout at Our House

We had some friends over tonight for a cookout..actually Shane made his infamous chili and it was wonderful as usual. We had most of the gang over, and it had been a while since we saw all the kids, so had a great time and took advantage of it. Towards the end of the night, at one point, all three babies (Olivia, Parker, and Emma) were all asleep in Olivia's room...her in the crib and the other two in the pack n' plays! It was definitely a sight to see...not to mention we were pretty impressed with ourselves that we actually got all three of them sleeping in the same room.

Rough Day

Well, the expression on Miss Olivia's face in this picture pretty much describes how her day went. She had a really rough day, according to Kathy, and basically couldn't keep anything down. After talking about it more, we thought it might have had something to do with some teeth coming in, but wasn't for sure. Not to mention, she said with the weather being a little back and forth, that might have something to do with it. Regardless, she was not in her great mood like she usually is, so it was just an off day. Although, after she got home, she seemed to be much better and ate like a champ as usual. It was the first day we had to get her in the car to take her to Kathy and Brian's new house, so maybe she was just adjusting as well. We have been pretty lucky and spoiled with her, so an off day every now and again is fine by me! :-)

Happy Birthday Kaleigh!!

We went to Aunt Shell and Uncle Tim's tonight to celebrate (party number one) Kaleigh's birthday! Grandpa and Linda were supposed to come out, but didn't get a chance, so Shane and I went anyway...it would have been awful for Kaleigh to be expecting gifts, and then not to get any! :-) So, we had a great time, and Kaleigh loved everything...except of course for the boring clothes!! We also got to take a few pictures of her new pet from Mommy and Daddy...Minnie the Guinea Pig. She has one at her pre-school named Mickey, so thought Minnie was the perfect name! She loves her so much and was the first words out of her mouth when we walked in the door! Boy do they have their hands full...no guinea pigs for Miss Olivia for a while! Winston is just fine right now!!!
