Smell my socks Daddy!

Miss Olivia is going through this thing right now where she insists on taking her socks off...we're talking two seconds after putting one on, it comes right back off! She thinks it is hilarious...every single time she does it! She then tries to eat them...yummy! So, this has been happening quite a bit lately and as you can see from the pictures, she will often just hold them in her hands and not let go. It appears she is wanting Daddy to smell her socks in one of these pictures. And, as you can see from the other one, she still has the tongue thing. She is doing a few different things with it now, but as usual, most of them involve being stuck out!!

Sweet Baby!

As I mentioned before, Miss Olivia is getting to be a whiz at this pulling herself up thing. She is such a big girl and has now been able to get into the upright position even from her belly. She has managed to sit up all by herself, and does so now all the time. She is expecially fond of doing it in her crib. I put her down to bed tonight and just listened and watched for a while cause she was still wide awake. She must have moved across every inch of that crib before she finally fell asleep. She was rolling all over, turning around, sitting up, laying down...it was so funny. I knew I could hear her through the monitors before, but I had no idea she was doing this much! Also, I haven't witnessed it yet, but Kathy said she went to get her from her nap today, and there she was standing up against the rails. She couldn't believe it, and neither could I when she told me! Basically, in that split second, we knew it was time to put the sides up on the crib when she goes down! What a big girl!!!! (This picture obviously has nothing to do with this story, but goodness sakes, how adorable is she!?)

I Love My Elmo!

Olivia is getting so good at pulling herself up onto things, and this Elmo is no exception. She has a ball with this thing, and gets so excited when her Elmo moves back and forth! :-)

Back to Reality

Well, after a long weekend, it was back to work this morning. Little did I know that there were a lot more people working last week than I thought and today was spent catching up from being away! Things have been so busy and hectic at work right now that Mommy has been a little stressed lately. However, it just takes one glance at Miss Olivia to know that the sun will still rise tomorrow, so just get done what you can today! She makes it all worthwhile, and I have to slow down some days and know that I cannot possibly accomplish everything in one day! Tonight was a perfect example of that...Olivia and Daddy were listening to music on the computer and dancing away. Although, I have to question the fact that Eminem was played on more than one occassion, but at least she doesn't know the words just yet. She was really getting into the beat though, and was having a ball! Every time Daddy would stop moving or turn the music off, she would get so excited, telling him to keep it going! She is so sweet!!!

Happy Anniversary...

...Derrick and Angie! Today they are celebrating one year together! Congratulations! As Shane would usually say, "What are you thinking" or "I'm sure it's been one year of pure bliss!" Awww..can't you just feel the love! Anyway, we went out to lunch with them and Aunt Shell, Uncle Tim, Kaleigh and Parker today! It was great to see them since it had been a while, although they didn't have Stella with them, so we'll have to see her next time!! After lunch we simply went home and relaxed for the rest of the evening..it had been a long weekend, but a lot of fun!! Although you would have thought Miss Olivia would have been beat, this was her expression for most of the evening..she was still having a ball!!

One More Turkey Day!

We had planned to spend the day with Nana and Paw Paw today, so it started by going out to lunch. Since the weather has been so nice, the boys decided they needed to get one more weekend of golf in, so they went golfing early. We packed up and decided to head into town early, so we met for lunch. Then, we spent the rest of the afternoon and evening at Nana and Paw Paw's house and had leftover turkey sandwiches for dinner. Great Grandma St. Clair and Aunt Shirley came over too, so that was nice. We didn't have a chance to see them on Thursday, so decided to celebrate a little later. We had a great time, and I know Grandma loves to see the kids as much as she can. As usual, I took a lot of pictures so had to break up the posts. The first ones are just of Miss Olivia playing and being silly.

Nana and Paw Paw

We love going to Nana and Paw Paw's house!

Kaleigh Ryan...

Although Kaleigh has been a little camera shy lately, she did manage to smile in a few pictures for us tonight. Here are a few of her decorating Nana and Paw Paw's trees. They have one upstairs and downstairs and basically let Kaleigh run loose on them, which in turn tends to lead to them repositioning some of them to the top. The bottom looks fantastic though! :-) Then, we got a few of her just being Kaleigh...silly as ever. And of course it wouldn't be the same if she left Nana and Paw Paw's without reading some of her books...even Uncle Shane helped out this time. She loves to read, and I hope Olivia learns a lot from her!

Parker Adam..

Here are a few of Mr. Man...aka Parker. He is Mr. Drool Buckets these days. He seems to be getting some teeth coming in, so you have to be careful when you hold him, or else you may put him down quite a bit more wet than when you picked him up. There is also one of him and Olivia, of course, they had so much fun tonight. You can just tell they really know each other and are starting to get a lot more brave about stealing toys from each other. In fact, at one point, Olivia took his pacifier out of his mouth, and put it in her own! And then, Parker did the same thing! It was hilarious..not quite sanitary...but hilarious!

Grandma St. Clair

Here are a few good shots of my Grandma (my Mom's side). She has so much fun spending time with all the kids!!

Black Friday

Well, little did I know when I agreed to go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving, we would have stayed out until 2:00 in the morning. We played cards last night, and didn't get home until very late...and Aunt Shell decided to call Mommy at 5:30 in the morning to go shopping. We hadn't agreed on a time or place to meet, so she just made the assumption that I wanted to go early! In all honesty, I did, but again thought I would have gotten a good night's sleep...which is definitely what I needed after being in the company of some ruthless shoppers today! I loved every minute of it because we knew we didn't need anything, so we just went to say that we went for the most part, and if we found a few good deals, then better yet. Not the case for many other crazys out there today. I thought 5:30 was early, but not for some...we talked to people that had been out since 4:00 in the morning!!! For what!? Who needs anything that bad that they would stand in line at a store to be the "first one there!?" Not me, that is for sure. So, these are the types of people we laughed at today! These, and several others who thought they were not in the same category as the folks that stood in line...they simply walked right past us and moved to the front of the line?? When we laughed and said (out loud), "Gee, I thought I was next," it apparently didn't mean a thing to them! They just kept right on putting their stuff on the counter! It was so funny, and this happened at the first store we were in. Then, to make it even more hilarious, the next two stores we were in, there they were...two steps ahead of us at every stop! We laughed so hard, and it definitely started the day off right! We ended up going to both malls and a few other stores, and since I didn't have time the night before to get somewhat organized, I didn't have much of an agenda. Again, if we found a great deal we couldn't pass up, then so be it! We had a ball, and it got the Christmas shopping off to a good start! Miss Olivia stayed home with Daddy and it sounds like they had a ball too! No pictures to post since I was not there, but there will always be more to come!

Happy Turkey Day!

Today was Miss Olivia's first Thanksgiving, and although Mommy was more excited about it than she was, we still had a ball. We got up bright and early just like we do every day, and Mommy started cooking right away. We were in charge of the deviled eggs and green bean casserole. So, that was on the agenda as well as...getting Olivia up and fed, back down for her nap, up again, get her bath, get everyone else ready and packed up, then we were on our way! Our first stop of the day was Grandma and Grandpa Davis's. Again, there were quite a few pictures taken so we had to break it up, but these are the ones of Miss Olivia...what a sweetheart! This was the first time she wore tights, and actually did great with them. She wore them all day without a fuss! Isn't she a cutie in that dress!?

Mommy and Daddy

Gigglin' Rock

Olivia just loved this Gigglin' Rock toy. It bounces all over the place and she had a ball with it...she couldn't keep up with it, but boy did she try!

Second Thanksgiving..

After my Grandparents, we went to Daddy's aunt and uncle's for another Turkey Day! Athough Grandma was not there, we had a good time. Everyone was excited to see Miss Olivia and we all ate way too much as usual. After dinner, we decided to play cards again. After putting Olivia to bed, we went downstairs and played poker until 1:00 in the morning. We didn't get home until 2:00 and Mommy had already planned to get up early and go shopping, so that was going to come awfully early in the morning!!

A few of my favorite things..

Olivia had a great time at Pam and Dave's today, and I got a couple good pictures of her favorite toys over there. She loved the pig and necklaces, but her ultimate favorite was the celery. It seems she is still trying to get some teeth in, cause she held onto that thing most of the day and just gummed it the entire time. Every so often, we had to change it out for a new one, but she loved it.

Aunt Jenny and Cayce

Here are a few pictures of Aunt Jenny and Cayce...boy did they have fun with Miss Olivia!
