Scary, scary night!!!!

We had quite a scare with Miss Olivia tonight!! Something I never want to experience again!! Shane had gone to poker, so it was just her and I. She ate dinner at her normal time, and everything was going just fine. Then, after her bottle, she was just playing on the floor and actually was playing with her bottle that she just drank. I wanted to wash it out, so I grabbed it from her and she instantly got so mad. She started crying, almost to the point that she couldn't catch her breath. But, trying to do the Mom thing and let her know that she could not always get her way and get what she wants, I did not give it back to her. And, I walked into the kitchen to wash it out. Well, I didn't even make it to the sink and I realized I couldn't hear her cry any more. It was all of a sudden, and she was silent. So, I ran back in the living room and there she sat in the same spot, mouth wide open and she couldn't catch her breath. She has done this before, and it just takes a second for her to let out a cry. However, this time, she did not. For whatever reason, she was not able to get a breath. I instantly picked her up to try to do something, but she started turning blue in the face, her lips and her mouth!!!! I was hysterical and didn't know what to do!!!! Then, her body went limp in my arms!!!! It was only a few seconds but felt like two hours! She finally let out a cry, but by that time I was a mess. I had no idea what to do and had just started for the door. I knew the hospital was only a minute away, so I was on my way! But, she let out the cry and so I just held her and tried to get her responsive! After a few seconds, she started breathing again but it was really fast short breaths! Then, all of a sudden it was over and she was fine...although Mom was hysterical!! The worst part about it was I didn't know what to do! I didn't know if I should try to help her myself, or if that would be wasting time and I should try to get her somewhere quick! I felt like there was no time for me to decide, and by the time I had made a decision it was either over or it was too late! That was the worst feeling in the world! Then, I called Shane and he came home...more so to take care of me though cause she was fine! I was crying so hard though that I could barely get the words out. I cried the rest of the night and didn't sleep at all cause I couldn't get her face out of my mind!!! It was absolutely horrible and something I hope we won't have to experience again!

Jealous Baby!

Well, apparently Olivia was just too excited to realize Monday that there was another baby in the house at Kathy's, but she sure figured it out today. Kathy said that she was quite jealous today. Any time Kathy was holding or feeding Landon, Olivia was right at her feet wanting to be held too. So, Kathy had her arms full with both most of the day. She said she has been very intential about including Olivia and trying to make her realize that she will not be ignored just because there is another baby around. You would think after being around Parker, Emma and Stella so much, that she would be used to sharing the spotlight, however it is not every day. So, we are going to have to work on that...I hope it doesn't last too long. My hope is that now that Olivia is quite mobile and interested in so many things around her, that it won't take long for her not to care that Kathy is holding Landon...cross your fingers though! Let me apologize Kathy in advance for what may happen...we'll do our best to help out! :-)

Back to Kathy's

Today was the first day Olivia went back to Kathy's after she had her sweet baby boy! Everyone was so excited, and it didn't take long for Olivia to figure out where we were...as Kathy and I were talking about how things were going, Olivia was basically jumping out of my hands to get down and look aroud...and start playing! She knew where she was and who was going to be there...Dalton was at the computer and Michaela slowly came down the stairs..she had just woke up, but did eventually get a smile on her face when she saw Olivia. It was sweet, and I know they were glad to see each other. Kathy couldn't get over how big Olivia seemed after holding Landon for two weeks...it's amazing how much can change in that short time period. Before Olivia left, she wasn't even truly standing up for long by herself, and now she was taking steps. So, Kathy was excited. Olivia was sure glad to be back too!!

Lazy Day at Aunt Shell's

After breakfast at Dina's this morning, we headed over to Aunt Shell and Uncle Tim's to visit. We hadn't met Oliver (their new kitten) yet, and they just got a brand new plasma TV that Daddy wanted to see..and watch golf! So, we spent a lazy day at their house watching movies...and golf...and eating pizza!! It was extremely relaxing (once the kids were down for their naps) and we had a lot of fun! As you can see, Miss Olivia has started her tongue out thing again! She loves to stick it out at you...and other than the slobber...it is pretty funny!!!

We went up bright and early this morning to go to breakfast at Grandma's. Jean and Bob were heading back to Delaware this morning, so we went to see them off! They have been here for a while, and it has been so nice to see them and get to spend time with them! They are one of the reasons why Mommy started this website for Olivia...even though they are in Delaware, they are able to see her grow up and know what has been happening with her and the rest of us! It was great to see you Jean and Bob...we will miss you and hope to get there to visit you sometime soon!!!

While Mommy and Olivia were at the birthday party having a great time, the boys were at our house working hard on the basement. They are doing a good job and have been making some progress! It gets me excited that a new house is in our near future...we'll see though! Since Uncle Tim was over helping, Aunt Shell and the kids followed us home from the party to join in on the fun...well, we just played while the boys continued to work. We had fun though and as usual, the house turned into a toy store! And, Kaleigh's new thing at Mommy's house is to turn the room into a movie theatre, as you can see from the animals in the chairs with her! We had a ball, and it must have been a long day, cause Mommy and Daddy were in bed shortly after Miss Olivia tonight! Not to mention, we will be getting up early for breakfast at Dina's tomorrow!!

Today was Emma Kate's 1st birthday party...I cannot believe it has been a year already, and soon it will be Olivia's turn! We had a great time at the party, and so did Emma as you can see from the pictures. She loved her cake and it was hilarious to watch her...the red icing really did the trick! All her family and friends were there to help celebrate! Happy Birthday Emma!!!

Daddy stayed home with Olivia on Thursday and Aunt Jenny came over to watch her on Friday! They had so much fun, although I don't have too many pictures to show for it...Mommy wasn't home, so the camera wasn't on at all times! :-) A big thank you to everyone that helped us over the last few weeks watch Olivia! We sincerely appreciate all the help and Miss Olivia had so much fun with you all!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Sleepy Baby!

Angie and Stella came over to visit today, and we had a great day! It was so nice to have company and Miss Olivia loved Baby Stella...so much that she insisted on trying to touch her! She wouldn't leave her alone, and Stella was swinging nice and quiet by herself, before Miss Olivia came over to bother her! She definitely wanted her to get up and play with her...it was pretty funny! It won't be long and they will be fighting over toys too...just like Parker! Poor Stella doesn't know what she is in for!!

YEAH!!!! Olivia officially took three steps this afternoon!!! Mommy did not get to see her, but Daddy did! Grandma and Grandpa Davis watched her today, and he went to pick her up after work. They were down in the basement and Daddy came through the door and she just got so excited that she took three steps towards him!!! They called me right away to share the great news, and then she did it again for Gma and Gpa!! It was so exciting and everyone was cheering...Mommy included through the phone!! Although, when they got home, Mommy tried over and over again to get her to do it, but with no luck! She must have been exhausted, so we'll try again tomorrow! :-)

Mommy was home with Olivia again today...and will be again on Wednesday. I did get quite a bit of work done, believe it or not, and she actually slept in until about 8:00 and then took a two and half hour nap! So, that was nice and allowed Mommy to keep caught up on her work! Her new thing now is to look out the back door, as you saw from previous pictures. However, there is an air vent right in front of the door, and she just loves when it kicks on! She played by it for quite a while..again, allowing Mommy to get some work done! Then, Daddy was home and took over for a little while. They were putting puzzles together...or at least trying!!!

We went to dinner tonight at the Tuscan Villa in Pekin for Mel's birthday! We had never been there before and I would highly recommend it! The place was so nice and it was great food! I didn't take too many pictures for some reason, but we had a good time nonetheless! Olivia did great all night and there were not many people there, so she was able to move around a little! Notice I don't have any pictures of the birthday girl...not because I didn't take any, but they were all blurry for some reason! Sorry Mel! Also, tonight was the first night we had seen Don since he returned from Antarctica...it was great to see him and we're glad he is home!

The girls went to dinner tonight and then out to the new Karoke place in Bartonville. We had so much fun! We actually went as a going away party for Dawn who will be moving to St. Louis in the near future. We sure are going to miss her!! We'll definitely have to get together again before she leaves, and it will be a great place to visit!! Here are a few shots of the girls!!

Mommy volunteered today to watch Parker for a few hours while Aunt Shell and Kaleigh went and got their hair cut. So, we met them at Grandpa's house and I called Angie to come over and visit too! The boys were in a poker tournament in Bloomington today, so we had all the kids with us. Boy, did it open my eyes to having two little ones in the house...and I realized that I definitely want to wait a little while before having another one! However, it was a lot of fun and we managed to get through without any bumps or bruises! Although as you can see from the pictures, Olivia and Parker just take turns picking on each other! I don't have any pictures on this one of Kaleigh yet, cause she got her hair cut short and I want Aunt Shell to be able to post them first! :-) So, check her site to see the new do!

You know you have taken way too many pictures when your 10 month old daughter makes these faces when she sees the camera!! It is hilarious...every time you get the camera out and get ready to take her picture, she makes this face! She really puts on a show and cheeses as big as she can! All of a sudden one day, she started doing it, and now it is every single time!! As you can see from all the pictures here, it is EVERY single time!! She is way too cute!!! She generally will throw her head back, squint her eyes, and get the biggest grin you have ever seen!!! Maybe I should lay off on the camera for a while!
