Today was long overdue. Shell and the kids had stayed over, so they were already there. Then, a few of the friends I graduated Western with came to visit today. We had been planning this day for quite some time...three years in fact, so it was definitely met with great anticipation! The last time I saw Nikki was when her daughter Alison was born...three years ago. Since then, she had another little boy, Austin. He is nine months old, and as cute as can be! He looks just like his Daddy, Jay, who we also went to school with. And Lori, I hadn't seen since before then. She has a little girl as well, Emily who is only slightly older than Olivia. So, even though Alison wasn't able to come because she was sick, all the kids had a great time!! We met at our house this morning around 10:00, and had originally planned to go to Wildlife Prairie Park, but due to the weather, the Children's Discovery Museum was the back up plan. We chatted for a while at home and let the kids play together. Then, we were off. We started the day with lunch...imagine the looks on the faces of the waiters when we walked in with 5 kids!! It was hilarious, however we did manage to get a waitress with an 18 month old herself, so she was great. We ate fast, and barely got our food down when they kids decided it was time to go! So, we headed out to the Children's Discovery Museum in Bloomington. I had personally never been there, but would recommend it to anyone with kids. It was fantastic and so much fun. We didn't know where to begin...they kids took off and had a ball! We managed to make it to all three floors, although there was more to do on some floors than others. In fact, there was karoke on one floor, so Kaleigh took advantage of that. She was great! After a few hours, the kids were getting restless and all needed naps. We hoped they would sleep on the way home, and go back down when we got there. Olivia and Parker both did exactly that, but Nikki and Lori left shortly after we got home, so theirs would take naps on the drive home! It was a great day, and was so nice to see them. We promised before we left that it wouldn't be three more years before we saw each other again!!!
