Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Here is Olivia after she finally warmed up to Gpa...putting blocks in his pocket!

Sitting on Gpa's lap watching a movie.

I love my Aunt Jenny!

We went to Aunt Jenny's for dinner tonight to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. As usual, it took Olivia a little while to warm up to him. For some reason, she is always a little leary at first, but it doesn't take long. More than likely it is because we don't see them too often. Anyway, we had a great time and hope to see them again soon!!

Which one will she be??

Left handed?

Or right handed??

It's been funny to watch Olivia when she is drawing or coloring lately. Sometime she will grab the pencil/crayon with her right hand and sometimes with her left. I'm almost positive she will be right handed, but sometimes you never can tell??

Mommy Time!

We must have played this game for a half hour. She kept putting Daddy's hat on her head, then my head, then hers, then mine. She thought it was hilarious!!

Not quite right...silly Olivia!

Your turn Mommy!

Well, it's Wednesday so that means Mommy and Olivia bonding time! Daddy went to poker, although this may be it for a while. He starts classes on Monday and Tuesday nights soon, so being gone three days a week might not happen...if I have anything to say about it anyway (which I usually don't)!! Anyway, we got some bonding time in tonight and had a ball!

Walk to Rosie's

Let's see...what do I want??

Tonight for dinner, we thought it would be nice to take a walk up to Rosie's right up the road. Olivia was loving it, she was outside, it was beautiful...but then she didn't want to sit still once we got there. We were the only ones in the place for a while, so it wasn't as bad. She wanted to push her stroller around, so we actually let her for a few minutes..big mistake! She wouldn't sit back in her seat after that. She threw the biggest fit, so much that Daddy ate pretty quickly and then walked her back home while I stayed and finished my dinner in the peace and quiet! :-) I felt a little guilty, but it was actually nice to eat hot food all by myself! Sorry Olivia! By the time I walked back home, she was fine! The pictures, of course are from before the breakdown!!

Chief's Game

Such a sporty spice in her baseball cap!

Running the bases after the game...keep up Uncle Tim!

Mommy and Daddy

After the koolaid incident, we got everything packed up and headed to Grandma's. She was going to watch Olivia while we went to the Chief's game. Since the boys had planned our birthday party there, we got four free tickets to go again. So, the four of us went and took Kaleigh as a special day. It was kids day, so they all got to run the bases afterwards...she had a ball with that...and so did Uncle Tim! :-) Olivia had a great day with Grandma too!!!

Busy Day!

This morning didn't start too good for Miss Olivia...we began the day by dumping an entire glass of koolaid down the front of us. Daddy had just filled up a large glass and put it on the end table...the perfect height for Olivia! I did have to give him a hard time about it later (once we cleaned it all up), asking after 18 months with her, how much longer it may take to remember she can reach things on the end table!? Anway, it was freezing cold which was a huge shock to Olivia as she started screaming and shivering...not to mention it was red koolaid!!! So, while I was cleaning her, Daddy was trying to clean the light carpet!!! Her belly actually started turning pink which was pretty funny to her later! :-)

Girlfriends from school!

Lori, Mommy, Nikki

Nikki and Mommy

Lori and Mommy

Today was long overdue. Shell and the kids had stayed over, so they were already there. Then, a few of the friends I graduated Western with came to visit today. We had been planning this day for quite some time...three years in fact, so it was definitely met with great anticipation! The last time I saw Nikki was when her daughter Alison was born...three years ago. Since then, she had another little boy, Austin. He is nine months old, and as cute as can be! He looks just like his Daddy, Jay, who we also went to school with. And Lori, I hadn't seen since before then. She has a little girl as well, Emily who is only slightly older than Olivia. So, even though Alison wasn't able to come because she was sick, all the kids had a great time!! We met at our house this morning around 10:00, and had originally planned to go to Wildlife Prairie Park, but due to the weather, the Children's Discovery Museum was the back up plan. We chatted for a while at home and let the kids play together. Then, we were off. We started the day with lunch...imagine the looks on the faces of the waiters when we walked in with 5 kids!! It was hilarious, however we did manage to get a waitress with an 18 month old herself, so she was great. We ate fast, and barely got our food down when they kids decided it was time to go! So, we headed out to the Children's Discovery Museum in Bloomington. I had personally never been there, but would recommend it to anyone with kids. It was fantastic and so much fun. We didn't know where to begin...they kids took off and had a ball! We managed to make it to all three floors, although there was more to do on some floors than others. In fact, there was karoke on one floor, so Kaleigh took advantage of that. She was great! After a few hours, the kids were getting restless and all needed naps. We hoped they would sleep on the way home, and go back down when we got there. Olivia and Parker both did exactly that, but Nikki and Lori left shortly after we got home, so theirs would take naps on the drive home! It was a great day, and was so nice to see them. We promised before we left that it wouldn't be three more years before we saw each other again!!!

Here we go...let the fun begin!!

Now that's one way to do it sister!

I think she was a little surprised when her feet actually touched the floor!

All the kids loved the water...we had a hard time pulling them away to do something else! There were a few tears shed at that time! :-)

I love the little plastic smocks they let them wear...they definitely came in handy!

Of course we had to spend some time in the kitchen area!

So much to do, so little time!!

Okay Mom, no more pictures...I'm ready to play!!

Peek-a-boo!

Can you see me Mommy!?

Let's play with this....

...or maybe this one!!

All the kids...

We knew if we didn't catch a picture before we let them run loose, we wouldn't have an opportunity! So, this was right when we walked in the door! They all look ready to go!!!

This is Austin...Nikki's little boy. He is about 9 months old!

This is Emily...Lori's little girl. She just turned one in February, so she is only a month or so older than Olivia.

Of course, you know Kaleigh. I think she had the most fun out of all of them!!

Sweet Parker...he was having a ball running around the dancing room...as were all the kids!

Slumber Party!

All three of the kids were having fun dancing with Elmo!

Dancing machines!!!

Shake it Momma!

Uncle Tim had a poker night tonight, and since Shell and the kids were coming over early the next morning, they just decided to spend the night. We hadn't had a slumber party in a while, so we were looking forward to it! They kids had a ball and certainly didn't want to miss out by going to bed early, so they stayed up a little later than usual! But, that was okay, we were having company the next day so it gave me a little extra time to clean up the next morning!

Big Girl!

Such concentration on that sweet face!

Look at me Mommy!!

I don't know if I have mentioned it in the past, but Olivia has been doing really good about eating with a fork. In fact, she loves it and sometimes won't give the fork back to you. You can actually sit the plate in front of her with the fork and she will eat quite a bit on her own. Before you had to get it on the fork for her and then hand it to her, however know she does it on her own! What a big girl!!

Another scare for Mommy and Kathy!

The infamous grocery cart!

Thanks Kathy...I love it!

Goofy girl!

What a beautiful smile, sweet baby!

Well, you wouldn't know it from these pictures, but Olivia scared Mommy and Kathy again today. I went to pick her up after work today and Kathy had given her a baby swing and grocery cart to take home with her. So, we let her push it to the car and as soon as I went to put it in the trunk, she started screaming again. She was so mad that she started holding her breath again. We both knelt down and I was holding her in my arms and she just got this lethargic look on her face and her eyes started rolling back. She went somewhat limp in my arms, but never really did pass out. She almost did though, and we just looked at each other and tried to get her to focus and let out her cry. Finally, she did and Kathy and I started breathing again as well. It is the scariest thing to watch and it worried us more this time cause she did it when she was mad rather then hurt. So, that wasn't fun, but by the time we got home, she was fine. We got the grocery cart out of the trunk and she was able to walk it inside and play with it the rest of the night. I still don't know what to do about this really, other than keep the doctor informed as it happens! Scary stuff!!

Back in the swing!

We were finally able to get back to Gma and Gpa's house tonight for dinner, although Dad wasn't able to make it. He had to work a double shift, so we'll have to see him next time. We sure had a great time again, and the kids actually played downstairs with us for a while. They thought it would be fun to play on the treadmill. Parker was a typical boy and kept jumping off, so Olivia and Kaleigh had to join in! They were hilarious, and were so much fun to watch!

Follow up

I survived another painless doctor visit!!

Showing off her stickers...

I'm not sure I'm gonna like this!?

Today was Olivia'a four week follow up to her ear infection. She went to see Dr. Cross again, and just as usual, she started crying as soon as the nurse came in to weigh her and check her out. I think with all the stuff she has gone through already, she is just a little leary about doctors and nurses any more. However, she weighed in at a whopping 24 pounds!!! What a big girl!! Dr. Cross did a great job of getting her more relaxed and played with her until he was making her laugh. So then, she did a lot better. She just keeps her eyes on them at all times!! And, he followed up with two new stickers, so that made her happy! After the doctor appointment, we decided since she was good, we would treat her with McDonald's. I cannot believe it has started already! She loved it. We sat in the play area, just so she could watch the other kids, and had a ball!
