Our Little Angel

Maybe they won't notice if I take the entire basket?

Oh my gosh, Halloween was so much fun this year! I really thought she was still going to be too little to really enjoy it, but boy was I wrong. She had a ball and we could barely keep up with her. We went to Lake Camelot to meet up with Aunt Shell and the kids, and was hoping to see the rest of the gang too. We started walking and really were just heading in the direction of Aunt Shell, but decided to let her try out a few houses. We walked her up there and she literally acted like a pro. It was like she had been doing this for the past 10 years...it was hilarious. We walked right up to each door, she wanted to knock, and after practicing the entire way, she attempted to say trick or treat each time. Many of the house let her pick something from the bowl herself, which she thought was pretty cool...although she didn't just want to pick one thing! So, we had to keep telling her she could only take one! But in between each house, she was almost sprinting down the road...so much so that she fell a few times cause she was moving faster than we were! She laughed and say hi to all the other kids that walked by and was just amazed to see them. It was so much fun! I already cannot wait until next year when she will be even more excited. After Lake Camelot, we headed over to Aunt Jenny's to see them and Grandma. She basically tried to take the rest of their candy, and Aunt Jenny certainly wasn't putting up a fight! :-)

Potty Training...is it really time?
What if I turn to the side...will that still work?

OK, for the past several months Olivia has really given us a clue that she is able to tell when she goes potty. All of a sudden, she started almost holding herself (for lack of a better term) when she went. So, we encouraged her every time and said, "do you have to go potty?" She would take off running to the bathroom and sometimes sit right in front of the toilet. So, we thought, this might not be as hard as everyone says! She knows the routine cause every time Shane and I go, she is right in there by our side and then loves to flush for us. So, we got out the potty seat and tried to encourage her even more to sit on it and go herself. The first time, she loved it. I put her on it with her clothes on, but then we sat down without them too, just to get a feel for it (I won't embarrass her with posting those pictures). Anyway, she loved it for a few minutes, but then started shaking her head and say no, no, no. So, we got her up and cheered her on (even though she didn't really go). Regardless, it is a start! I cannot believe it is actually time for her to start..she is getting so big! I'm not sure I'm ready for it, but here we go! Since then, every time we ask her to go potty, she shakes her head and says no. So, we don't want to push her, but we'll keep trying!

Backyard Fun!
In the firepit...good job Olivia!

As you can probably see from some of these pictures, Daddy hadn't mowed in quite some time...long enough for most of Olivia's legs to be buried in the grass...so tonight was the night. It was nice out, so Daddy decided he better mow again before the winter. So, we first had to pick up the sticks and Olivia loved helping Daddy with this job. Then, we got the mower out and Mommy tried to keep Olivia on the back porch. It was a tough job, but she had a ball peeking at Daddy.
