Tough Day!

Little Miss Olivia did not start off the morning too good today. She woke up with a temperature and we're making the assumption that it has to do with her teeth again. She has had the majority of symptoms she had previously, so we're hoping it's nothing more than that. We were finally able to get it down after her morning nap. However, during breakfast for some reason, she wasn't able to keep anything down. So, that was interesting and then she had two bloody noses to round off the morning. We weren't quite sure what that was all about either, but it seemed like the perfect day for it cause of everything else she was dealing with. Needless to say, if it was teeth related, the one thing that seems to do the trick....popsicles! Shel felt much better after that!!
I love my Winston!

Olivia has so much fun with Winston, although the feeling isn't always mutual! Most of the time he appreciates if she will just leave him alone, but there are other times when he wants her to play with him so badly. It's certainly a love/hate relationship. Tonight, she wanted to snuggle and give hims hugs all night! He is really good with her and had gotten used to her playing so rough. She can hug and kiss him all day long and he won't budge.

Turkey Day with Nana and Paw Paw!
They actually shared the banana!

After a successful day of shopping we went to Nana and Paw Paw's to celebrate Thanksgiving. We literally went in our pajamas cause we planned on having a nice relaxing evening. It was so nice and we had a ball. It didn't take long for the kids to get the toys out and have them sprawled all over the floor. But, that is what they come to expect. They know right where they are and that is the first place they go. We had a very nice dinner, and a nice visit!
Black Friday!
Well, we did it! We actually got out this morning to start the Christmas shopping! Aunt Shell had planned on going with Uncle Tim this morning, so Mommy headed out on her own about 5:30. Target was first on the list. I knew it would be bad again this year, but you just never really know until you get there! I got to the parking lot and the entire thing was full. There were people walking through the parking lot from places across the street, so I patiently drove down the first aisle and thought, this is crazy. I will just walk as well, so was going to turn around and go across the street, when all of a sudden, someone started backing out of the first spot right in front of me. Talk about being in the right place at the right time! It was pretty nice and I almost felt guilty cause I knew there were probably stalkers eyeing me as I was getting out of my car. So, I was feeling pretty good and off to a great start. I figured as long as I didn't turn into a crazy person like the rest of the people out that day, I may just be lucky all day! So, I headed inside and it began..the crazies were out all over the place. I found a cart right away which didn't turn out to be a good thing. Trying to manuever that through the aisles was almost impossible. However, I wasn't in any hurry, so I patiently waited as people were trying to get around me, practically knocking me out of the way to get by. I just had a smile on my face the entire time, and slowly...very slowly...made it down the toy aisles to get what I wanted. I did extremely good and was pretty proud of myself. Then I stood in one of the four lines that were wrapped around the entire store, but had a cart full so it was worth it. I doubt I would have stood in line for only one or two things, but it did go pretty fast. Shell called while I was in line adnd said Tim couldn't handle it. He went to one place and the line turned out to be a little intimidating, so after trying to find what he wanted, he headed back home and told Shell to call me! So, she met me and went headed to Toys R Us. There were no carts available and we knew we would have quite a bit here, so I went against my Black Friday standards and asked two girls for their cart as they were walking to their car. I actually helped them carry their bags to the car, and was able to take the cart back. It was hilarious, but we needed it. The store itself didn't seem to busy, but it was because everyone was in line. You literally didn't really need to shop the store...the checkout line weaved in and out of almost every aisle. So, you merely had to do your shopping while already in line. We started at the end of the line with an empty cart, and by the time we made it to the checkout, it was over flowing! It was so funny and we had a great time! There were several people in line with small children and I couldn't imagine having had the kids. No way would they have been patient enough to stand in those lines. So, it was nice to be able to leave them home with Dad! We really didn't have anywhere else in particular we wanted to go, so we walked around the mall for a while, but didn't buy anything else. All in all, it was a sucessful day for both of us! We left the craziness with our insanity still in tact, so we felt pretty good!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
Olivia was a little occupied with the parade on TV, but nonetheless, she was sitting with Grandpa so we had to try to get a shot!

Mommy and Aunt Shell...as most people are saying, we look a lot more alike these days!

Thankfully, we only had two stops to make today! We got up early, like usual, and started getting things ready to go to Gma and Gpa's. Mommy had made her usual deviled eggs last night, so those were all set. This morning, I made the cheesy potatoes and grape salad for the other side of the family. After getting everything prepared and after Olivia's morning nap, we were off! We made it to Gma and Gpa's and had a wonderful day visiting...and eating, of course! Grandpa Davis was there, along with Aunt Shell and the gang, and one of our cousins and their family. We ate way too much, of course, but it was all great! It was relaxing and very nice not having to rush to another place right away!!
More Turkey Day!

Turkey Day...second stop!

After leaving Gma and Gpa's, we made it over to Pam and Dave's for even more food. Thankfully, I didn't eat any more, although it all looked great. Olivia was having a ball with all the toys they had to play with and playing with little David. After eating, resting and relaxing, it was time to try to put Olivia down to sleep. We wanted to stay to play some cards, so tried to put her in her pack n' play. Well, as we were searching for the monitors, along came Olivia walking down the hallway! She climbed out of her pack n' play!!! We didn't actually see her do it, but she walked out holding her arm...so I'm not sure it was very graceful. Nonetheless, she managed to get out of it! And so it begins. We are going to have to keep our eye on her to see if it is close to big girl bed time! She went right down after we put her back in it, so she was certainly tired enough from playing hard all day and fell right asleep. She didn't try to get out any more. So, more to come on that!!

Happy Birthday Lily!
Watch out Parker...don't get too close!

I really thought she was going to be scared to go down, cause she has been in the past. However, she wasn't this time. They must have slid down at least 100 times!

We went to the Rainbow Playland today for Lily's 2nd birthday. It was fun to get all the kids together, although I didn't get pictures of all of them. They had fun playing on all the outdoor playland equipment. The little ones weren't able to play on everything, but had fun just the same. They were able to do quite a bit and certainly wore themselves down. Afterwards, we watched Lily open all her presents, and of course the kids had to help test them all out. Then we had cupcakes for dessert. After the party, we headed to Davis Brothers for pizza, but the kids were getting antsy, and since it was taking a while to get our order in, we decided not to stay. Aunt Shell, Uncle Tim, the kids and I went to Maid Rite instead. We got in right away, the kids ate and it was time for bed. Olivia fell asleep in the car on the way home after a long fun day!!
