First Snow Fall!

A view from Aunt Shell's front door of the snow falling!

I guess I better get used to scraping my car!!

When we woke up this morning, we were in for a surprise! Our first snow fall of the season, and boy did it ever! It was still snowing outside and there was quite a bit on the ground. So, we stuck around Aunt Shell's for a little while longer until we knew the plows would have been out before heading home. And, what better to do during the first snow fall, than to put up the Christmas tree!!! I didn't get too many pictures of Olivia this year cause I was busy helping myself, but she had a ball. As you can imagine, the bottom of the tree was beautiful from Olivia helping! :-)

Slumber Party!

Whoa Kaleigh...be careful!

As you can see, the boys were being a little dramatic for the camera!

Nice faces boys...that's a little much!

Aunt Shell and Parker playing Yahtzee!

We went to Aunt Shell and Uncle Tim's this afternoon after working in the yard. The first reason was the boys wanted to get one last round of golf in before the end of the season, and second, Daddy had a party to go to so Mommy and Olivia wanted to spend the evening with them instead of at home by themselves. So, off we went and the kids were pretty excited about spending the night. We spent the evening coloring, dancing, watching movies, playing games, etc. All in all it was a very busy night and the kids were exhausted at bedtime. They all fell asleep in Aunt Shell's bed watching cartoons!!!

A little wrestle mania!

Ganging up on Uncle Tim

Daddy and Parker

Get him Parker!!

Wrestle Mania!!

Taking advantage of the nice day...

Helping Daddy pick up the leaves...one handful at a time!

This is more like it...no more work for Olivia!

It turned out to be a really nice day today, so we took advantage and cleaned up the yard a bit. Shane raked leaves (for the first time), so as you can imagine, it was quite a project. And, Olivia and I picked up all her toys and put them in the garage...well, I picked up and she played with them. However, it was good timing considering the weather we heard was coming! I did manage to get a few shots of Olivia playing in the leaves!!

Olivia's new house...

When I got home from shopping today, I walked in to see Olivia's new house. This is the box from our new TV that Shane brought home the other day! She loves this thing, so I'm curious how long we will be keeping this in the house!??

Black Friday!

So, we knew we were crazy already, but today topped the charts. We have never gone out super early on Black Friday, although we do typically get out, which seems crazy enough. This year, we decided to meet at Nana's at 4:30 in the morning!! We truly are crazy, cause there is absolutely nothing we need to buy that early in the morning...even if it is to save a few bucks. People are definitely more crazy than us though! We headed to Walmart first considering they would match all the other store prices, and considering they are open 24 hours anyway! So, off we went. As soon as we got in the store, we could see the madhouse! They had their "doorbuster" deals ready to go, but they wouldn't open them until 5:00. So, they had pallets of things all throughout the aisles of the store, surrounded in black tape, ready to be opened. Well, people found out what was inside and then camped out to be the first to grab one when they opened the boxes! What a nightmare! People were already starting to get crazy and yell at other people....which we just loved to sit back and watch! Once we were ready to get in line, we actually went to the back of the store, where the lines weren't too bad. And, while two of us stayed in lined, the other one was able to keep shopping, so it worked out great! After Walmart, we went to Toys R Us and Target and then headed to the Shoppes for lunch. We had a few more minutes until we had to meet Marc, so we stopped in at Gordmans as well, where the chaos was not as dramatic. We went to lunch and decided we had had enough already, so went home. We were pretty successful, and made a great dent in the Christmas shopping! However, I doubt we will go that early ever again!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Even Olivia was checking out the big sale ads for Black Friday!

She was a one man band tonight, playing the accordian....

...and the maracas.

Riley is definitely one of her best buds!!

Surprisingly, the only place we had to go today was Aunt Pam's to celebrate with Dina's side of the family. It was so relaxing and we knew we could go and have fun without having to check the clock, which is exactly what we did! After we ate (too much, of course), we did what we always do....play games!!! We always have so much fun, and typically the teams involve girls against boys!!! Obviously you know who won, so we won't even mention it!!

Sweet Baby Izzy!

A little ray of sunshine!

She is getting so big and can actually get on this thing all by herself!!!

Mama Cayce and Baby Izzy!

Some friendly competition...

Olivia's turn to draw!

Brother/Sister Rivalry...I do have to mention the girls won this year...again!

Daddy was really getting into the Mario Kart Wii game!!

One of the great things about Thanksgiving with Shane's Mom's side of the family is the games!! We typically do play pictionary, but this year they also had the new Wii, so there was plenty of that too!!

Mouse in the house!

Not under there...

...or there!

This was hilarious, so yes, I had to try to capture the moment on film! Poor Chris was at home relaxing and reading a book, while we were right down the road at Pam and Dave's playing games. All of a sudden we got a phone call from Chris saying something was in her house. She described it as something quite bigger than a mouse, so all the guys decided to take weapons (just in case) to try to save the day. It was so funny to watch them in action...walking down the road and then looking for this thing on their hands and knees in the house, weapons in hand. As you can see from the picture, we had a baseball bat, rake, gloves, etc. just in case!! After some time searching, they came up empty handed! Sorry Chris...looks like it got away...although I cannot imagine how considering these guys were on the job!!

Happy Turkey Day!

She loves her Daddy!

Yummy!!!

Story time with Aunt Missy!

Some of the girls!!

Making a mess in the toy room...as usual!

Rather than try to coordinate too many stops in one day, the Davis Family decided to celebrate Thanksgiving the evening before! It turned out to be perfect and we could just go and relax without having to worry about our next stop for the day. With that said, we had such a great time and although we were missing Uncle Joe, Guylynn, Danielle and Gabby, we did have fun. It was a nice evening, and it was great to see everyone considering we don't get to that often!! Happy Turkey Day Davis Fanily!!

In attendance...some of the family!

Aunt Shell and Mommy

Mommy with Gma and Gpa

The Foiles Family (with the exception of Lakin)

Linda and Grandpa

Erin and Dru

The boys...some of them anyway.

Miss Olivia and Aunt Shell

Too cute!

On our way home from Kathy's this evening, we were looking at all the holidays lights and decorations. There are several houses with lights around town and we point them out each and every day. Well, today was no exception and she had noticed the snowflake lights that the city puts up on all the street lights. It was so sweet cause she pointed them out to me and said, "Look Mommy, they are so pretty!" I said, "I see them honey, they decorated for Christmas, didn't they." She then replied, "Santa did it!" What a sweetheart! I love her thinking sometimes and it just amazes me where she comes up with all of this stuff! We are truly blessed!

Practicing our Circles...

Sweet little face..she is so proud of her accomplishments!

Olivia is doing great when it comes to drawing her shapes, however lately circles are all she wants to do. She will draw one circle right after another all over the entire page. Every time I try to have her practice something else, she goes right back to the circles. So, I think we have those down!!!

No Such Luck...

Daddy got home early this afternoon from his hunting trip. He didn't have any luck this year...which in my opinion isn't a bad thing considering we still have deer meat left over from last year in the freezer. However, he was a little bummed that he wasn't successful, so you couldn't help but to feel for him. Once he got home, Mommy had to turn around and leave to go to a jewelry party for my friend Heather. She recently started making her own line of jewelry and this was her first official open house. So, I had invited Grandma and Aunt Jenny to come too, so we made an afternoon of it. After the party and our purchases, we decided to do a little shopping! It was a great afternoon, but was time to get back home to visit Daddy!

Happy Birthday Lily!

The pretty birthday girl trying to sneak a handful of cake!

Miss Olivia is on a coloring kick lately...she could spend an entire afternoon coloring and draing her pictures. It is so sweet to see her concentration when she is hard at work!

Face painting time...Olivia wanted the other girls to try it out first! Here she is waiting patiently for her turn! Thanks Craig!

A pretty blue butterfly!

Lily (Craig and Mandy's oldest little girl) turned three today, so we headed to their house to help celebrate!! She had a circus theme for her, and boy did the kids go crazy. They ate lunch and then had a heck of time with the balloons...hours of entertainment. Then, they all got their faces painted...what a great idea! Olivia got a flower on one side and a butterfly on the other! We watched Lily open her gifts and sang happy birthday!!! We couldn't stay too much longer after that though, cause we had another birthday party for Izzy that started at the same time. However, we did get a chance to partake in all the festivities, so we appreciate all the fun! Happy Birthday Lily!
