7 weeks old!

Not much has been happening the last week or so, other than Miss Olivia is 7 weeks old already. This means only one more week before I have to go back to work. the time has sure flown by, and I am not looking forward to it. Everyone has tried to give me advice about the first week I have to go back and how to handle being away from her...however, nothing is helping. I am still dreading the day, so in fact I talked with Kathy about taking her for a few hours a couple days next week. This should help everyone ease it to it and get used to the change...we'll see how well it does!

Garage Sales

Today we introduced Olivia to the wonderful world of garage sales! Aunt Shell, Kaleigh and the two of us went to Tremont where they were having their annual neighborhood sales..what a crazy day! Olivia slept the majority of the time, however did need to eat while we were there. So, Mommy fed her in the car and Aunt Shell and Kaleigh continued the search. Not sure what we were looking for, but we were sure it was going to be in Tremont. I bought one little outfit for Olivia...Fourth of July dress (pictures to come) and that was it. Can you believe it..neither could Shane! This was the first of many more garage sale days to come! :-)

State Farm Visit/First Babysitter

Today was a big day for Miss Olivia. First, we took a trip to State Farm to meet everyone. We didn't even make it in the door before we were surrounded by everyone. Of course I had to go to Purchasing first, cause according to them, "they had me longer than HR." It was great to see everyone, although it made me realize how close it was getting to the time I would have to return. Then, I reluctantly went to visit my new group in HR. I was terrified to face them considering how bad I left things on my desk. I assured my back up that I would take her to lunch for a month straight for all that she has done for me. She was just anxious to get me back to work and said she felt sorry for me cause of the areas I service...extremely demanding! Anyhow, it was great to see them, and I really do miss them and the work..it will be hard to go back, but I will enjoy it as well. Because it was never an option for me to stay home, it makes it easier knowing that I love my job! We stayed at State Farm for a few hours, and then came home to wait for Dad. Tonight was the first time Mommy and Daddy were going to go out for dinner and leave Olivia with a babysitter...Grandma Dina. Boy was she excited. In fact, she sent an email to Shane letting us know how excited she was to babysit! Shane and I went to Joe's Crab Shack and had a great time. We sat outside on the balcony over the river, and it was beautiful. We had a great time, although were not gone more than two hours. We laughed as we were on our way back to Dina's wondering if we should drive around the block a few times cause it didn't take too long for dinner. However, we went to pick her up anyway, and Aunt Jenny was there visiting as well. I was amazed that I did not have to call one time in the two hours to check on her. It was a great night. However, I cannot promise that for the next time...especially if it is longer than two hours.

"Aunt" Missy

Today we had a new visitor..."Aunt" Missy from work came to visit today. She intended to come and spend the afternoon with us, hold Olivia the entire time, and that is exactly what she did. She wanted to come to the house to visit so she didn't have to share! :-) She also brought Olivia a new outfit, first doll and little pink shoes. She has certainly already started spoiling her!!

Mommy's Checkup

Today Mommy received a clean bill of health. Everything has healed, which unfortunately means she received the green light to go back to work! Only three more weeks to go before I have to go back! :-( This also means that Miss Olivia is six weeks old!! Just look how much she has changed already....

Happy Easter

Today was pretty eventful...Olivia had her first big girl bath in the bathtub! We had previously been doing the bath in the sink, but this was much easier. Of course Dad had to prove that he could do something on his own, so he gave her the bath while Mommy took the pictures...only fourteen! :-) Don't laugh..it was her first one, so I had to get it on camera! Once her bath was over, we had to head over to Aunt Jenny's for dinner with the Cline family. We had a nice time over there, but little Miss Olivia slept most of the time. Although, this did allow Mom and Dad to eat with everyone else, and not have to take turns. Then we were off to see Grandma Dina and that side of the family. We went to Pam's to visit, and was able to see Grandma Jean and Bob before they left again for Delaware. We had a great time and even got a few four generation pictures!

Our First Holiday...and picture!!

Today was quite an experience...at least for Mommy. It was Olivia's first official holiday photo with the Easter bunny! We met Aunt Shell and Kaleigh at Northwood's Mall to get their pictures taken. This was a whole new experience for me, but one that Aunt Shell knew quite well already. She walked right up to the table and started looking at the different packages offered and new exactly what to do. I simply followed her lead while little Miss Olivia was asleep in the stroller. She was oblivious to what what going on, and was enjoying her nap. We chose our package and waited in line until our turn. Of course, all the other mothers were there with their kids in line as well trying to appease them until it was their turn. Finally, we were next and this huge Easter bunny was sitting there waiting for me to turn Olivia over to him. Good thing she was asleep, cause I think she would have been terrified. It took all of ten seconds and it was over, but boy was Mommy excited! Olivia's first holiday photo...the first of many more!! The picture with the Easter Bunny would not upload, but this was her little Easter outfit that Aunt Shell bought, and she basically looked like this in his lap! :-)

5 Weeks Old!

I promise to only do this for a little while longer, but Olivia is 5 weeks old today!! Right now we really don't have much else to work with, so these are the big events in her life that we can enjoy and share. It won't be long and there will be other things to share, so until then.... :-) We went and had lunch with Daddy today, and he enjoyed that as always! Then, we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Davis before they left for Colorado. We definitely wish we were going with them!! Then, we spent the rest of the day with Aunt Shell and Kaleigh. We always have fun with them...Tim cooked out on the grill! It has definitely been great weather outside, so hopefully we'll be doing more of that in the near future.

Bunco...and Babies Galore!

Tonight we had Bunco at Liz's house, and Tiffany Olson was still in town with Baby Lily. It was an unusual group tonight with their family, but it was great to see everyone. Baby Emma was there as well, so basically we all took turns with the babies. However, little Miss Olivia slept the entire time! We didn't even take her out of her carseat, so no one got to hold her or play with her! Although, she allowed Mommy to play the entire night, so that was a change! I am starting to think people really aren't sure whether she is ever awake!? Gayle, Tiffany, and Liz bought Olivia gifts that we opened at the end of the night. They were extremely thoughtful and we will certainly enjoy them. Can't wait until next month!!

Busy Sunday!

Little Miss Olivia has recently become quite the social butterfly. She is turning into our little party girl, and today was no exception. We met Aunt Shell at Dad's house and attended Sandy Post's anniversary celebration at St. Anthony's. There were quite a few people there, including Tiffany, Chad, and Baby Lily. So, that was the first time we got to meet them. Unfortunately because of all the family and friends passing Lily and Emma around, we were not able to hold them or snap any photos, but hopefully there will be time for that before they leave. It was great to see them, after having shared all of our pregnancy stories. We had heard quite a bit about Lily before she arrived! Of course, Olivia slept the entire time, however had quite a few visitor's that hadn't met her before! After the party, we moved on to Aunt Jenny's house. It is the day after the wedding, so they opened all of their gifts. They sure did get quite a few nice things! Olivia was able to visit the family some more, and then it was time to head for home to see Daddy!

Happy Wedding Day!!!

Today was Aunt Jenny's wedding, and what a day we had!! Had to get up early to get our hair done and Olivia stayed with Daddy alone for the first time...at least extended period of time. I knew I was going to be gone for a few hours, so was a little nervous at first. After I got my hair done, I of course called to see how she was doing. I heard her crying in the background, and it sounded like she was going to wither away if she didn't eat soon. So, needless to say I drove as fast as I could to get home to accomodate! Unfortuantely, I was not able to meet Jenny and the rest of the girls at that salon to do hair, but called and wished her a Happy Wedding Day!! She sounded extremely calm and you could just hear the smile in her voice! It was going to be a great day! Once I was home and able to feed Olivia, we started to get ready for the day! I had previously bought a new dress for Olivia, so was pretty excited to get that on her. She got a bath and was just cute as can be in her litte party dress! We ended up just meeting everyone at the Waterhouse for pictures. Everyone looked great, and Olivia did extremely well the entire night. Once pictures were over, it was time to get Jenny out of sight, so we retreated to the nursery, which ended up being convenient for us! The guests were starting to arrive, and Aunt Shell, Uncle Tim, Mom, and Marc had already arrived and taken Olivia to watch during the ceremony. The time had come and we were patiently waiting for our cue. Shane and I got to walk down the aisle together, so that was nice. Although, he was having a hard time being considered a bridesmaid for the day, cause he stood up on Jenny's side. He did great though! The ceremony was short and sweet, and then the party got started. Shane took full advantage of the open bar, and had a great time. By the end of the night, I knew I would be waking up for middle of the night feedings by myself! :-) We had a great time, and I was able to dance quite a bit while others kept an eye on Olivia for me! There was certainly not a shortage of people wanting to hold her throughout the night! All in all, it was a great night and I think Jenny had a wonderful time. All the planning was well worth it!

Getting Ready for the Wedding!

Today was another busy day! We met Aunt Jenny and the rest of the clan to get manicures and pedicures this morning for the big wedding! What a great time with the girls. It was so relaxing and nice to be pampered...I didn't realize how much I needed it! After we were finished, we all went to lunch and kept the party going. Shortly after, it was time for Olivia to eat, so I scooted a little early to feed her. Later that evening was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Everyone did great at the Waterhouse for the rehearsal, and hopefully it was an indication of how the wedding will go...off without a hitch! Then, we went to Leonardo's for pizza! Overall, it was an extremely long day and Olivia agreed...she cried the entire way home from dinner! Boy, being held all day long, eating whenever she wants, and sleeping all day sure takes its toll on a girl! :-)

Cookout at Aunt Tara's

Shane and I spent the morning running errands, and then went to Aunt Tara and Uncle Jeff's for a get together with friends. Although everyone wasn't able to attend, we had a great time. Aunt Shell and Uncle Tim were there, as well as Derrick and Heather Pilgrim. We took advantage of having all the kids together with a photo opportunity. Although, it doesn't work quite well when they are not able to sit up on there own, we did our best! We had a great day just visiting and swamping baby stories! We are planning another one real soon, so we can all all the kids present!!
