Snow Day!

Well, as you could tell, nothing much was happening this week...until now!! We had heard on the news last night that we were supposed to be getting between 6 - 12 inches of snow today! It started sleeting really bad last night and didn't stop until about 3:00 in the morning. Then, down came the snow. Luckily, Mommy had already taken the day off to get some errands run, and Kathy needed the afternoon off. So, it worked out pretty nicely that Mommy and Daddy stayed home today. In fact, State Farm was actually closed today...I was in shock. They say that in the past 20+ years, you can count on one hand the number of times they have completely closed down. I was amazed, but again it worked out great for Mommy who already planned to stay home. Daddy got up this morning at 5:30 to shovel the snow and clean off his truck to go to work. However, he knew he was in trouble when he couldn't even get into his truck. There was so much ice and then snow on top of that, it was nearly impossible. He actually broke his scraper trying to do so, and then decided that was enough for him. He came back in and took off his boots. We were officially snowed in! We definitely took advantage of it and stayed in our pj's most of the day. Mommy did a little cleaning and starting weeding out some of the clothes Olivia has outgrown. It is amazing how many outfits still had the tags on them! So, we may have to have a dress up day and/or fashion show again real soon in order to get her in some of them still in the closet! Mommy had to take a break during nap time, and went to check on Miss Olivia during her nap. The picture shows how I found her!! I couldn't beleive it...this was the first time I had seen her do anything like this! It was hilarious, but leave it to me to think she was hurting, or that she would wake up with a cramp in her neck or something. Daddy made me leave her be, and not try to "fix her!" :-) Later that afternoon, we decided to head to Aunt Shell and Uncle Tim's. The boys had planned to go hunting Saturday and to leave pretty early in the morning, so wanted to get a head start and leave from Delevan. Well, Mommy didn't want to spend the entire night and day by herself, so we went to visit Aunt Shell and the kids too. We took Winston along with us as well, and boy did he have a ball with Zoe. No pictures of the dogs, but did get a lot of great ones of the kids!!
