Fun Day!

Mommy was up bright and early today for the MOM Sale in Peoria. I wasn't necessarily looking fro Olivia, but Nana and Mommy went shopping for Kaleigh and Parker. Kaleigh's preschool had a float in the Pekin Marigold Festival parade today, so Aunt Shell had to be with her there. So, we were mainly shopping for them. We did pretty good and were actually proud of ourselves! :-) Afterwards, I met up with Aunt Shell and Kaleigh at the parade. Uncle Tim was home pouring concrete, so she needed someone to take pictures. So, who else would they call for camera duty...Aunt Missy to the rescue! I found a nice spot right at the beginning of the parade, but later got a call from Shell on the float that they didn't have a way to get back to their vehicles at the end of the parade. So, I got pictures when they first left, then headed toward the end and got pictures again! It was quite funny to see the same floats pass by a second time! :-) Be sure to check out the fantastic pictures on the Erxleben Family site! After the parade, we went back to Aunt Shell's for dinner. As I mentioned, Uncle Tim was pouring concrete in the driveway. Well, he won't be happy that I mentioned it again, but Daddy made a lasting impression in the new driveway. Let's just say he forgot they had a dog in the house. He opened the door to bring Olivia inside, and Zoe took off running straight for it. She made a nice little circle in the wet concrete..which ultimately showed through...even after trying to smooth it over. Well, at least it's a nice fun story to tell..one that I'm sure Uncle Tim will laugh at later! :-)
