Unusual Nights?

This week was a little out of the ordinary for Miss Olivia. Two nights this week, she went to bed on time, but about midnight was wide awake and crying? She insisted that I be in sight at all times. We tried to rock her a few times and let her cry it out, but that didn't work. Then, we came into our room and she laid with us for a few minutes, but then wouldn't go back in her room. Then, I laid her in her crib and sat right down on the floor in front of the bed and she was fine as long as she could see me? The second I tried to get up to leave, she would instantly start crying again. So, we were basically trying everything we could, but with no success? I have been adament about not letting her sleep in our bed cause I didn't want it to become a habit and then never be able to get her out! So, I was fighting it for so long, but around 3 or 4 in the morning, you start to become desperate. So, she laid in bed with us and was able to fall asleep, and even though I still didn't get much rest, it was better than crying all night. She did this same routine on Monday and again on Wednesday this week for some reason? We really couldn't figure it out, and just hope it isn't going to become the norm. I enjoy the fact that she wants to be near us, but absolutely cannot go to work with that little sleep! I realize that is a little selfish, but I was making up for it the rest of the week! So, we'll see if this turns into anything, or just a fluke thing?? I'm obviously hoping for the latter! The picture above has somewhat become a routine before going to bed. She loves to sit with Daddy and listen to music. He typically gets an opportunity to rock her, and she will actually rock for quite a while, which I know he eats up!!!
