Surprise Party!

I'm not quite sure what Parker thought he was eating here!? Unless of course, Olivia had just snatched his food away...which is quite possible!

Early this afternoon, we went to a 60th surprise party for Sandy Post. For those that don't know, Sandy is our great friend Tara's mom, as well as our good friend and second mom. All through high school, we spent a lot of time at Tara's, and Sandy simply adopted us. Back then, she was a second mom to us, and now we continue that friendship today. We play Bunco with Sandy once a month and often get to visit with her at our Swap N' Shops, birthday parties for the kids, etc. It is wonderful to have a friend like Sandy, and I feel blessed to call her a friend. For those that don't know, Sandy is one of the most sincere genuine people you will meet in your life. She is extremely thoughtful and not an event goes by without receivng a card in the mail, or simply a "just because she was thinking of you" note. She writes an article in the weekly paper and it is so much fun to read. She wrote about our Bunco group one week, and how much fun it is to spend the evening with friends of all ages. It is pretty special, and I hope we continue it for a long time.
Nonetheless, we helped to celebrate her 60th birthday today. Her daughters organized a luncheon in her honor, and bless her heart, she really had no idea....right up until they blindfolded her and walked her into the church! It was fun to watch her surprise, and you can tell she was extremely grateful! It was a nice time, and was great to hear the stories that were told about her. The kids had a great time running around as well, as you can see from the pictures!! Happy Birthday Sandy!
