Funfilled Fourth of July!
What a busy day! Daddy started off his day with a round of golf, of course. So, while he went golfing, we walked up to catch the parade. This was Olivia's very first parade, and boy did she love it. Athough, when they were throwing the candy at her, she wanted to run out in the middle of the road to get in. So, good thing Brian was with us to keep all the kids under control. They threw candy, had balloons, brownies, doughnuts, freeze pops and anything else you would want. Once the parade was over, Michaela had asked about coming over to play, and Dalton sure didn't want to miss out, so off we went. They came over and Sunt Shell and the kids were on their way too. So, we had a small army playing at the house..first inside, then outside, then back in...you get the picture! We did have a great time and the kids were loving every minute of it!!
After our play time, we wanted to try to get the kids down for a nap, but that really wasn't working, so we decided to take them to the Jump City. There were about 15 huge inflatable slides and mazes, and the kids didn't quite know what to do first. It was so much fun, and even Aunt Shell and I were getting into it. We couldn't stop laughing cause they were jumpin all around the place, but they couldn't get hurt. They were even climbing up the really talls slides and sliding down without any fear. We definitely hope they do this again next year!
After the jump city, we headed back to our house to cook out before the fireworks. The boys were done golfing and Derrick, Angie and Stella were on their way too! We cooked out on the grill and then packed up for the fireworks show. It's amazing what you need to take a few kids to see the fireworks! They had a wonderful time running around the bases at the park before they began, and then when it was time, they all found their seats! Once they started, Olivia jumped in my lap and was a little scared at first. Then, she started getting more scared. She stayed on Shane's or my lap the entire time with our hands over her ears. So, it seemed to be a little too loud for her, although she did enjoy watching them. Even more so, she loved the food and drinks! Lemonade shake-ups and Popcorn!! Even for a small town, they were pretty good. The kids were asleep on the way home after a very long eventful day! The pictures for our Fourth of July are listed below!
