Watching cartoons...

Lately, Miss Olivia seems more interested in her cartoons, more than ever before. On our play list at any given time is Wow Wow Wubzy, Oswald, Dora, Diego, Blue's Clues, Wonder Pets, and the list goes on. She loves them, and we have had to really keep an eye on how much she is watching. I can certainly see how many people say the TV could potentially be used as a babysitter at times, cause she gets so engaged and doesn't want to turn it off. So, we are trying to get better about not having her watch so much, but just before bedtime. In fact, she typically wants to watch as we are sitting down for dinner, so we've tried to stop that too. She is too cute though, cause she actually has been learning from them. She was telling me thank you one day for giving her some stickers, so it was "Thank you Mommy, thank you, thank you." Then, out of the blue, she said "Gracias Mommy, gracias!" I couldn't believe and know that it came from Dora! She actually interacts with the TV and answers the questions they ask all the time. So, all that to say, I guess there could be worse things. And, if you ask her to do something else, like go outside, she hasn't chosen the TV over anything else yet...so that is always a good sign! :-)
