Spoon River Drive/Garage Sale Heaven

Today we were up bright and early, as usual. Olivia gets up every morning around 6:00, so today was no different, even though it was a Saturday. However, we had big plans today, so we let it slide this time. Daddy had a big Golf Tournament that he was playing in with Grandpa (my Dad), so he left pretty early this morning. Also, it was Grandpa's birthday today too, so I'm sure he was excited to be golfing on his birthday! And, Nana and Paw Paw were having their annual neighborhood garage sales, and we had plans to meet Aunt Shell, Aunt Tara and Emma!! It was a beautiful day, and after breakfast, we were on our way! We met up with them at Nana's at around 8:00 to start on our mission. We hit darn near every sale in that neighborhood before it was time for our morning snack. Olivia and Emma went with us for the sales, although Kaleigh and Parker went to Grandma's. We put them in the strollers and they had a great time..there was hardly a peep the whole time..they certainly loved being outside in the sun! After making our rounds, and finding mostly clothes for the kids, we went back to Nana's and fed the girls. Then we took Miss Olivia to Grandma's to play and we headed to more sales on the way to Spoon River Drive. Miss Emma got to travel with us, so we took turns stopping at all the sales on the way to Farmington. As we got closer to Farmington, the traffic got a little more unbearable, and of course it was past lunch for us. We had our minds set on the onion straws, tenderloins, walking tacos, etc...which is really the only reason we like to get to Farmington. We finally made it through the traffic, and headed straight for the food vendors, no onion straws, but we did split nachos and walking tacos. Mmmm!! We spent about 20 - 30 minutes actually walking through the craft booths, but that was it...we were ready to head home! We decided next year we wouldn't even go all the way to Farmington, and would just hit the sales on the way there! All in all it was a great day! We headed back to meet up with Daddy and then had a cookout to go to at Shane's Uncle Randy's house. So, we packed everything up and headed over there. As you can see from the pictures, we had a great time. Olivia did great all night long, and even though we were outside the entire night, she did wonderful. We fed her and she ended up falling asleep in my arms, as you can see in the picture. But, not before getting a few great shots with Grandma and Grandpa. He put his hat on her, and boy did she look cute!
