San Diego Zoo

This morning we left bright and early for the zoo, although we didn't really have to beat the heat like we would in Illinois. It was clear blue skies the entire time we were there, and about 80 degrees with zero humidity! In other words, perfect!!! So, we headed to the zoo that morning and boy was Kaleigh excited. This was certainly not going to be like any zoo she has seen in Illinois! We did a lot of walking around again that morning to see what we could see on foot. There was so much to see, and we knew we weren't going to be able to see it all. So, after a few hours of seeing a lot of animals, we finally made it to the Pande Bear exhibit. There was a long line for this, but it went pretty quickly. It was awesome, and although it didn't seem like much, it was pretty amazing to see! After that, we stopped for lunch and took a short break. We had only seen about a quarter of the entire place, so we had just touched the surface. We found a little place for the kids to get their faces painted, and after that headed straight for the bus tour. Basically, this tour took you around most of the entire park, so we got to see all of the animals we hadn't seen on foot. It was actually extremely nice and we didn't miss a thing...and we didn't have to walk any more! So, all in all, a great day at the zoo!! The pictures of the zoo are below!
