We went to Granite City tonight for Shane's birthday (and to celebrate Don's from New Year's Eve). It was wonderful..the food, the service, and everything in between. We got there at 6:30, but Dave and some of the others had been there since 5:30 to get a seat. It was absolutely packed when we got there, but we were able to get right in cause they had waited. There would have been no way we would have waited that long had they not already been there...you could hardly get in the door. But, we got to our seat and since it was passed Olivia's usual dinner time, we put her order in right away, and they had it out to us in about 5 minutes...wonderful! She was happy and content, and ate very well. Mommy celebrated in style and ordered a steak which was fabulous! Also, they could tell Olivia was getting a little restless, so they brought her a balloon to keep her occupied, which worked wonders! Overall, it was a great place! The tables were spread out so you didn't feel like you were sitting on top of anyone, and the service was great! I would highly recommend this place to anyone, but would also suggest getting there early!!
