Supposed to be a work day...
So, today will tell you a little bit about how our husbands operate. We were supposed to be working on the houses all day cleaning and being very productive, but the guys called each other up and since it was such a beautiful day, they wanted to go golfing. In order for them to convince us to let them go, they came up with a game plan....something we couldn't resist. So, they said they would go golfing in Bloomington, and afterwards, we could go shopping, take the kids to State Farm Park and then go to dinner! To be honest, it didn't take too much convincing, but boy do they know how to work it! We met them at the golf course and then Shell and I took the kids to McDonald's for lunch. We let them play on the playground for quite a while to pass the time. Then, we started to do a little shopping, but chasing three kids around the store is really not our idea of shopping, and certainly not what we envisioned when they were convincing us of the plan. So, we played outside for a little while until the boys were done, and they met us at the mall in Bloomington. They took the kids and then Shell and I were able to do some more shopping...by ourselves. After a little shopping, we headed over to State Farm Park to enjoy the rest of the day. We played on the playground for a while, and then wen to the volleyball courts. The kids were having a ball, but so were we...it was the Clines versus the Erxlebens on the court. We were like little kids ourselves and actually started a little competition...I do believe the Clines were victorious, although you may hear a different story from our competitors! We all started to get a little hungry so we headed to get some dinner at Noodles & Co...one of my favorites. We had such a nice day and it was definitely much more fun than working at home all day. Knowing our sunny warn days are going to start to be limited, we definitely wanted to take advantage...even if the boys thought it was their idea! :-) The bad thing about this wonderful day, was that I forgot my camera. Aunt Shell had hers and it supposed to send me the pictures, but more than likely you'll see them surface on her site, so take a look there...that is, if she ever gets caught up!!
