Let the Potty Training Officially Begin!

Ok, so there will be many of you that really won't find a need in reading the next few posts, because it will be a lot of detail about our potty training experieince. However, I need to put it in writing so I will be able to remember as well. So, it is official! We have started the potty training and there is no turning back! I picked Olivia up from Kathy's today and she had just gotten up from her nap. Well, rather than talk to Kathy for a few minutes, she said get her home cause she hasn't gone potty after her nap yet. So, off we went! We knew she had to go, so she was bound to go in the big girl potty for us! Sure enough, as soon as we got home, we put her on the potty and there she went!! I was so excited, as this was the very first time she had gone for me, even after going at Kathy's several times. So, Mommy was elated and we made the biggest deal of it...she got to play with her Barbie again, which seemed to be the biggest prize ever! We must have celebrated for the next few hours and she thought that was pretty neat! For the next several hours, we sat her on the potty off and on and asked her about every half hour, just to keep on top of it. Well, our celebrations came to an abrupt halt when after a while, I put her undies back on and she peed on the chair while playing on the computer. So, after cleaning that up and telling her over and over again that she needs to tell Mommy when she has to go, we were off again! She didn't go again the rest of the night, and since it was the first night, I did put a diaper on tonight. So, we'll see how tomorrow goes. It is my Friday off and since it will be a long weekend, we knew it was time. It is going to be a potty weekend!!!!!
